This book is one in a series of phonic ebooks designed to be the first set of books for children to begin reading. Start Reading ebooks (Level 1) start with children reading one to two words per page (Start Reading Phonics 1.01) to eventually reading stories (Start Reading Phonics 1.13 and 1.14). Level 1 includes 14 ebooks. For information on utilising this ‘Phonic Ebook’ reading scheme search “phonic ebooks teach” in Amazon’s search.
Each page contains words / small sentences to decode (read using phonics) along with a picture to help a child understand the sentence or words. Each page builds on the knowledge learned on the previous pages and previous ‘Start Reading’ ebooks.
At the end of each ebook, words are listed that relate to the sounds that are introduced. These are included so that children can practice using their sounds to read these words.

These ebooks follow the recommended order to teach children phonics under the “Letters and Sounds” scheme (DfES - Primary National Strategy) that most UK Primary Schools use to teach phonics. Can be used alongside other reading schemes. For ebooks to learn and practice phonics search “phonic ebooks” in Amazon’s search.
