when Miriel finally gets the date of her dreams, it turns into a nightmare instead. This story is a study in character and dialogue as well as shape. A good short sticks to one point of view, one geography, one main character, and begins and ends at or about the same single setting. This brief does it all and rests heavily on dialouge as well. This is a fast read meant for fun. My novels are a great deal more complex but short story form is never easy to master.
